Thai Army Prepares to Procure Stryker 8x8 for the 111th Infantry Regiment

From the adjustment of the Army's combat force structure, the 11th Infantry Division from a light infantry division to be organized as a compact, modern and efficient unit as a light armored division by setting the 112th Infantry Regiment as the prototype, the Army has procured 37 Stryker 8x8 armored vehicles at a cost of approximately 2,850 million baht as a friendly price and as a direct FMS military assistance project with the United States, and the United States has provided another 23 vehicles, totaling 60 vehicles in the first lot and has gradually procured more later.
Currently, the 111th Infantry Division is in the process of upgrading the 111th Infantry Regiment to the same standards as the 112th Infantry Regiment by procuring Stryker 8x8 armored vehicles to replace the old and in use M-113 personnel carriers, which will make the 111th Infantry Division a full-fledged Stryker division. We will have to follow up on the procurement.
