The Philippine Army (PA) has inducted into service two Robinson R44 Raven light training helicopters donated by concerned citizen and business person in 2020. The US built helicopter with four seat capacity have joined the Aviation ‘Hiraya’ Regiment at Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija Province.
The helicopters will be used for training purposes as well as light scout duties. As of date there are more than 16 Army aviators qualified to fly helicopters in the regiment.
Beside Fort Magsaysay, Army helicopters will be deployed to the Special Mission Aviation Company in the Visayas and Mindanao.
