Achmad Rizal Purnama, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Republic of Türkiye, on October 30, 2024, attended the First Steel Cutting Ceremony for Indonesia's Fast Attack Craft Missiled (KCR-70M) produced by Turkish company TAIS at Şefine Shipyard.
 

This project reflected the ever-developing defense cooperation between Indonesia and Türkiye which is one of the main landmarks of the strategic partnership between the two countries.


FACM-70
According to the TAIS shipyard website, FACM-70 is a Fast Attack Craft Missiled with the following missions.

Primary Missions
-Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations,
-Anti-Surface Warfare and Anti-Air Warfare,
-Patrol Missions at night and restrictive sight, high level radar coverage.

The FACM-70 has a top speed of +40 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots (infographic: TAIS shipyard) 

Secondary Missions
-Support Surface Combatants during Naval Operations,
-Support Naval Air and Special Forces Operations,
-Operations against Asymmetric Threats,
-Search & Rescue (SAR) operations near combat zones.
