In mid-March Air Chief Marshal of RTAF Chanon Mong Thanya, checked the progress of construction of the Beechcraft T-6 Texan II trainer aircraft at Textron Aviation Defense in Wichita, Kansas.

RTAF has entered into a contract to purchase 12 T-6 for $162 million USD (5,194 million baht) in September 2020. It's on target and faster than scheduled, but it's scheduled to deliver to the Thai Air Force within January 2023.

In addition, the Air Force has also purchased 8 AT-6 small attack aircraft (Beechcraft AT-6 Wolverine) with equipment, approximately 4,675 million baht from Textron Aviation Defense.
