Philippine Navy’s BRP Gregorio Del Pilar (PS15), lead ship of the Del Pilar-Class Patrol Vessels, is expected to be operational by third quarter of this year 2021, the Offshore Combat Force said. It can be recalled that BRP Gregorio Del Pilar ran aground in Hasa-Hasa Shoal in 2018.
"Presently, she is continuing all necessary port side repairs while waiting for her refit,” the Offshore Combat Force said.
“She is expected to be operational by the 3rd Quarter of this year and continue her mission to conduct maritime security patrol, internal security operations, naval gunfire support, search and rescue, and support to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations,” it added.
