Royal Thai Navy Accepts Two Coastal Patrol Boats Tor 114-class Ships

The two coastal patrol boats, Tor. 114, and the boat Tor. 115, were held on March 29, 2021. The keel laying ceremony was held on 8 June 2018 and performed the boat launch ceremony on 31 July 2020 at the Marsun Shipyard Public Company Limited, Tai Ban Subdistrict, Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province.

Both ships are based on Marsun's M36 Mk II, which is an improvement on the M36 Patrol Boat, which is used as the basis of the coastal patrol ship Tor.111 or Naval Operation Support Boat, Tor.111. 


By the coastal patrol boats the set of ships Tor 111, which entered service before the number of ships, including the ships Tor 111, Tor. 112 and Tor. 113, it is one of the work of the Marsun Company in Thailand that has been contracted to build ships to the Royal Thai Navy as well.

The two new ships were renovated, different from the previous series of Tor 111 series ships, using the main weapon, a 30mm machine gun, a MSI-DS SEAHAWK, 1 platform, ready. Fire control system instead of the hand-operated Denel Land Systems GI-2 20mm machine gun and 2 M2 .50cal machine guns, including a room inside the hull for special operations 13 Naval Special Warfare Command (Royal Thai Navy SEAL) with high flexibility in various operations.


In addition to the last three ships, the third set of the Tor 111 ships and the last two ships of Tor. 114 The Royal Thai Navy is also stationed with 3 near-shore patrol boats, Tor 991 ships (Tor 991, Tor 992 and Tor 993) and 3 coastal patrol boats, Tor 994 ships (Tor 994 ships, Tor 994, T. 995 and T. 996) total 11 ships.

With another demand the two ships are the coastal patrol boats, the T. 997 series, the two ships, namely the T. 997 and the T. 998, which performed the serpent laying ceremony on 14 November 2019 and is expected to launch the boat in the water in this year 2021.
