RTAF Conducts Ceremony for the Airbus ACJ320ceo Airlifter and Diamond DA40NG Training Aircraft

Transport Aircraft Airbus ACJ320ceo registration No. 60205 HS-TYW has been put into service at the 602 Squadron, Air Wing 6, Don Mueang, with a ceremony on December 21, 2020.

The 602 Squadron has been service with ACJ320-214CJ transport aircraft registration No. 60203, HS-TYT since September year 2015 for VIP that has been imported from Airbus.


While the training aircraft Diamond DA40 NG was put into service at the 604 Squadron 6 on the same day as a replacement for the 16 CT-4A that was released, stationed in September.

The DA40 NG, all 8 machines that were assembled at Kamphaeng Saen Aircraft Maintenance Center of Thai Aviation Industries (TAI) is in the Phase 1 procurement suite. There will be another phase 2 procurement of 6 machines, totaling 14 machines.


With the joining of the training aircraft DA40 NG makes it clear that the 12 Beechcraft T-6C Texan II training aircraft ordered by the Royal Thai Air Force will be put into service under the name of T-6TH training aircraft.

According to the 10-year purchase and development policy and the Common Fleet of the Royal Thai Air Force, it will be followed by the procurement of Beechcraft AT-6E Wolverine light attack aircraft that will be designated as an A-6TH attack aircraft.
