DTI Tests Self Developed 122mm Rocket

Thailand's Defense Technology Institute demonstrated test firing domestic DTI-2 122mm on Type 85 tracked APC chassis and SR4 wheeled self-propelled Multiple Launch Rocket System at Royal Thai Army Artillery Center Range, Lopburi province, 19 August 2020.

Test firing of a 122mm high-performance rocket with a 40km firing range known as DTI-2 from a multi-caliber self-propelled rocket launcher vehicle Type 31 on the basis of tracked vehicle Type 85.

Also the SR4 multi-barreled rocket launcher system, the Royal Thai Army, marks another successful advance of the DTI-2 high-performance rocket system research and development program following previous tests.

The DTI-2 122mm rocket is a fully developed self-developed surface-to-surface rocket system in Thailand. Defense Technology Institute of DTI, with cooperation from both the Royal Thai Army and the Royal Thai Navy to use their firing test sites and weapons systems.
