The School of Artillery has welcomed the arrival of High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) platforms, marking another significant step in the evolution of the Australian Army’s long-range fires capability.
With HIMARS now incorporated into full-time training at the School of Artillery, our people will develop the knowledge and skills required to operate, support and employ this capability as it continues to be introduced into service.
The integration of HIMARS into training represents an important shift for Australian Artillery—building the workforce, expertise and readiness required to deliver long-range precision fires in support of the future force.
