Alloy-hulled Patrol Boat Launched for Military Region 9

On July 24th, at the X55 Factory (Logistics and Engineering Department, Navy), the launching ceremony took place for the third ST-294 aluminum alloy hull patrol and troop transport vessel, which will be equipped for Military Region 9.
Major General Nguyen Van Tien - Deputy Commander of Military Region 9, along with other branches of the armed forces, participated in the launching ceremony.
This is a newly built ship equipped for Military Region 9 - an area considered to have a crucial strategic position in terms of economy , society, national defense, security, and foreign relations in the Southwest region of the country, playing a key role in the overall national defense posture.
After completion and commissioning, the ST-294 No. 3 vessel will undertake important tasks, including participating in training and combat readiness, contributing to the firm protection of the sacred sovereignty of the nation's seas, islands, and continental shelf.

This is the central political task of the X55 Factory, so the forces have been determined and made every effort to overcome all difficulties to accelerate the construction progress and deliver the ships on schedule.
Throughout the shipbuilding and completion process, the shipyard received guidance and attention from the Command Headquarters, the General Staff, the Logistics and Technical Department, the Construction Supervision Team, and agencies and units under Military Region 9. The Military Ship Registration Center, the Naval Engineering Institute, and the design consulting unit closely supervised the technological process, ensuring compliance with the approved design.
Ship ST-294 No. 3 has completed the basic installation of equipment and is ready for launch. After the launching ceremony, the ship will continue to undergo finishing stages and acceptance testing according to the proper procedures before being officially handed over to Military Region 9.
