The Royal Thai Navy First Naval Area Command, specifically the naval unit that visited Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, has successfully completed its 53rd joint patrol mission between the Royal Thai Navy and the Vietnamese Navy. All personnel and equipment are safe.
Between May 24-25, 2026, a joint patrol fleet between the Royal Thai Navy and the Vietnamese Navy, consisting of HTMS Prachuap Khiri Khan from the First Naval Area Command and HTMS Narathiwat from the Second Naval Area Command, conducted an operation.
For the Vietnamese Navy, the vessels HQ-263 and HQ-264 conducted joint patrols along the maritime border of both countries. The objective was to maintain order in the contiguous maritime areas and strengthen maritime security cooperation between the two navies.
The 53rd Thai-Vietnamese Joint Patrol was a significant event in celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1976-2026). This joint patrol proceeded smoothly, with both sides demonstrating professionalism, strength, and dignity in both combat readiness and friendly relations.
The Royal Thai Navy Region 1 is committed to promoting maritime security cooperation with neighboring countries in order to maintain stability and peace in the region, which is a crucial foundation for shared development and prosperity.
