As part of Introduction into Service training, crews fired up to 150 rounds from multiple AS9 platforms, demonstrating the system’s ability to deliver accurate long-range fires while operating from protected, mobile platforms.
Conducted less than two months after the weapons rolled off the production line, the activity marks a significant milestone in the delivery of Army’s Protected Mobile Fires capability.
It highlights the rapid transition from Australian manufacturing to in-service use while supporting local defence industry outcomes in support of Army modernisation.
