CTU, Philippine Navy Partner to Develop Hybrid Transport, Autonomous Ships

Signing of partnership CTU and PN (photo: CBU)Cebu Technological University (CTU) and the Philippine Navy have formalized a partnership to develop innovative maritime and transport technologies aimed at improving disaster response and interisland connectivity in the Philippines.
The partnership was sealed through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed on March 26 at the CTU Main Campus between the university and the Naval Research and Technology Development Center (NRTDC), aimed at strengthening research, innovation, and technical development in the country.
The ceremony was attended by key officials from the Philippine Navy, including Vice Admiral Jose Ma. Ambrosio Q. Ezpeleta and Rear Admiral Juario C. Marayag, along with CTU administrators and representatives, underscoring the significance of the collaboration.
Under the ageement, CTU will lead the design, development, and testing of the prototypes, including system integration and performance evaluation. The university will also provide technical training for Philippine Navy personnel. /Jhevey Yan - CTU Main BAL intern
