MINDEF Sets Minimum 30% Local Content In Every Defense Acquisition

The Ministry of Defense announced the implementation of 7 National Defense Projects as a first step in developing local strategic capabilities.
The project includes defense satellites, armament systems, component manufacturing, radar technology, unmanned systems and defense simulators, in line with the aspirations of the country's defense industry self-sufficiency under DIPN.
The Ministry of Defense sets at least 30 percent local content as a mandatory requirement in every national defence procurement, to strengthen the capacity of local industries and reduce dependence on external parties.
