First Five Delivery of S-70i Black Hawk As Part of 32 Ordered of the Philippines

The first batch of five S-70i Black Hawk combat utility helicopters from Poland's PZL Mielec has arrived. They were brought to Clark Airbase using an Antonov An-124 Ruslan civilian strategic transport aircraft.


These modern helicopters will significantly strengthen Philippine Air Force. The Department of National Defense DND confirmed that the first batch was delivered by June 2024.


These helicopters are part of an order of 32 units marking a big step in the modernization program of the Philippine Air Force.


Five Black Hawks were seen being unloaded with 27 more units expected to arrive soon enhancing the Philippine Air Force's capabilities.
 

According to reliable sources the next delivery plans include 10 units in 2024, 10 units in 2025, and the remainder to be handed over in 2026. The Philippine Air Force is currently operating 15 units of the Polish S-70i Black Hawk combat utility helicopters with another 32 helicopters expected to be delivered within the next 3 years.
