FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) and the Philippine Air Force (PAF) are seeking collaborative ways to have seamless interoperability of their modern weapon systems. In a meeting held on September 14, 2021 at the Marine Headquarters, Col. Rex D. Templonuevo PAF (GSC), the Assistant Chief of Command Staff for Operations (A3) and the Acting Chief of Command Staff of Air Defense Command, discussed the PAF Integrated Air Defense System.
The collaboration is essential in enhancing the integration between the two Commands as they accomplish the mission and objectives in the Joint Operating Environment. This also gives the PMC the opportunity to learn from the best practices of the PAF, determine how it can complement and support the PAF as it executes the Archipelagic Coastal Defense as the new warfighting strategy, and prepare for its upcoming Air Defense System capabilities.
“By educating one another, we can easily integrate. Through the said integration, we can reinforce and complement each other towards mission success,” Marine Commandant MGen. Ariel R. Caculitan PN(M) emphasized.
