BRP APOLINARIO MABINI (PS36) conducted her 1st Quarter Test Firing of Naval Guns CY2021 at vicinity 7.4NM SW off Buca Pt., Kiamba, Sarangani Province on 28 March 2021.

The objective of said activity is to ensure the operational readiness and reliability of its naval guns and weapon systems as well as to enhance and evaluate the proficiency of ship’s naval gun crews during live firing situation.

Gun crews test fired the 25mm M242 Bushmaster Auto Gun, two (2) 20mm Mk16 Mod5 Gun and two (2) cal 50 BMG with satisfactory result.

With the officers and enlisted personnel of PS36, the activity was successfully conducted by following safety procedures and observing IATF health protocols.
