People's Army Online - Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Kien, Senior Researcher, Head of Research Department of Electromagnetic Weapons, Institute of Electronics, Institute of Military Science and Technology (Ministry of Defense) and associates just completed a scientific project at the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology: “Research, design, and prototype 4 blocks (A7, A8, A9, A10) in BU controller of AK176M ship cannon system on the TT400TP series warships ".
AK176M is a heavy ship cannon, computer controlled, using a new dynamic principle. The control system helps the gun automatically stabilize on the sea surface, accurately aiming at the target in unsteady ship conditions, fluctuated by waves. The system can perform radar gun control or modern electro-optical traction system ... However, after a long period of use, it may appear to fail in the control and transmission system, ammunition transmission unit of the AK176M cannon (BU controller). This is a complex system, controlling the hydraulic transmission to stabilize the cannon, controlling the ammunition using a digital controller, a military computer form, no technology transfer, no spare ZIP. Therefore, if you do not master the technology, it will make it difficult to ensure the combat readiness of the unit.
The AK176M gun's BU controller consists of 10 blocks, including 6 common computer blocks (from A1 to A6) that can be easily searched, replaced and 4 peripheral blocks (from A7 to A10) with features Military enemies, not offered in the market. In order to contribute proactively and timely to ensure the technique of the AK176M ship's cannon in all situations, the research team led by Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Kien has studied and completed scientific tasks and successfully manufactured. 4 blocks: A7, A8, A9, A10 in BU controller, helping units to reserve blocks, actively replace, maintain the AK176M cannon control system to operate stably, reliably, ready to fight fight high.
To implement the topic, the research team performed the following contents: Collect technical documents, actual surveys, learn the structure and operating principles of the blocks A7-A10, redraw the BUS diagram. internally within the BU block; manufacturing equipment to extract information in / out of blocks A7-A10 for surveying of blocks directly on the cannon; research and design test racks in order to survey original A7-A10 blocks, check new blocks manufactured A7-A10 at the laboratory; reconstruct the principle diagram, decode the implicit components of block A7, test block A7; redraw the diagram of the principle, decode the uncommon components of the input / output buffer for the hydraulic transmission system of the AK176M cannon (block A8), and test block A8; testing the signal amplification block to control electromagnets and contactors for hydraulic transmission system of the range and direction of the AK176M cannon (block A9); Tested the source conversion block and protect the power supply for the hydraulic drive system of the range and direction of the AK176M cannon (block A10).

Blocks A7-A10 researched and manufactured by Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Xuan Kien and his associates have been tested to operate well in some units of the Naval Region 2. In addition to the TT400TP series warships, the product can be used on the AK176M gunboat control system of other warships.
